It’s likely been months since you’ve gone to see your aesthetic provider for cosmetic procedures. And though your lips may be begging for a long-overdue lip filler, the next time you visit The Bliss Room Medical Spa & Wellness you may be surprised to learn about our newest lip filler: Restylane Kysse.

Say Hello to the Newest Lip Filler: Kysse

In May 2020, Galderma, the pharmaceutical company behind Restylane, received FDA approval for Restylane Kysse, a hyaluronic acid lip filler designed specifically for lip injections. Your friends overseas have been enjoying Kysse lip fillers for some time now, but The Bliss Room Medical Spa & Wellness is happy to offer customers this new procedure.

The Perfect Kysse

Kysse (pronounced “kiss”) uses Galderma’s proprietary XpresHAn (aka “expression”) Technology and changes the way that hyaluronic acid binds inside the lips.

Your average lip filler may feel a bit unnatural or uncomfortable because it may seem like there’s a strange substance attached to your lips (which there is). But with Kysse, the filler feels and looks more natural.

According to Alisa Lask, general manager and vice president of the U.S. Aesthetic Business at Galderma, “Study results showed that Restylane Kysse provides lip fullness, improves the appearance of the lines above the mouth and leaves patients satisfied with their results.”

In addition, “We found that by week eight after treatment, at least 90 percent of patients were satisfied with their lips. Specifically, with the shape of their upper and lower lips (93 percent and 95 percent, respectively).”

If You’re Still Not Convinced

Typical lip fillers last three to six months and cost $500 to $2,000 per syringe. Kysse, on the other hand, may last for up to one year. In addition, study results showed that Kysse lip injections may use 20 percent less product to achieve the same results. If you’ve been on the fence about lip injections due to cost, well, now you’ve got a reason to try out Kysse.

Who’s Eligible for Kysse Lip Filler?

Kysse lip filler is FDA-approved for individuals over 21 years old. So whether you’re in your 20s or 30s and want to enhance your lips, or in your 50s or 60s and want to restore volume and shape, then Restylane Kysse could be the right choice for you.

How Lip Fillers Work

If you’ve never had a lip injection done, then here’s what you need to know.

It’s up to you to think about and decide on how you’d like your lips to look. Most aesthetic doctors prefer a natural look, but if you’d like to see a visible difference and add significant volume, then you need to let your doctor know.

A week before the procedure you need to stop taking aspirin, Aleve, Motrin, fish oil, multivitamins and Vitamin E as these can act as a blood thinner and contribute to post-injection bruising.

Patients may experience some swelling, but it typically subsides within a day or two. Also, avoid drinking from a straw right after the procedure and don’t sip hot liquids, as your lips will be numb and you may accidentally burn yourself.

Your Bliss Awaits

The Bliss Room Medical Spa & Wellness is excited to offer Restylane Kysse and will continue to add more cosmetic products in the near future.
